Our team made the trip to Manchester to attend this years Health Service Journal awards ceremony. Representing the Virtual Health Hub (pictured left to right) was Jane Walker (Project Manager), Paul Flattery (Highly Specialised Pharmacist), David Cruttenden-Wood (Surgical Consultant), Becky Housley (Nurse Consultant) and Sam Jackson (Clinical Service Manager).

The Virtual Health Hub, a service that encompasses Telemedicine, a Clinical Communication Centre and a Virtual Wards service, was shortlisted in the Virtual or Remote Care Initiative of the Year category. This category really emphasised the value and potential that virtual care has in the national healthcare system.

Although we were unfortunately not winners, it was an incredible achievement to be a finalist. Congratulations to all those nominated! You can view the other shortlisted nominees here.
