The Telemedicine Service is very proud and excited to announce that the Virtual Health Hub (which incorporates Telemedicine) is a Finalist at this year’s HSJ’s Patient Safety Awards! This is within the ‘Virtual or Remote Care Initiative’ category.

Since its launch in 2020, Telemedicine saw a rapid and transformative development process in a relatively short space of time. The service has spread to cover the entirety of Hampshire, as well as some county border communities in Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Surrey and to date has had over 4,500 consultations. None of this would have been possible without the incredible hard work of our team, the care homes and the nurse facilitators.

All of the above is what helped us to achieve this fantastic nomination and shortlisting.

The awards ceremony is taking place on 25 October 2022 in Manchester.
